Malcolm (orange) meets Rupert (gray), the newest member of our family. We found Rupert in the discount bin, something Malcolm could probably identify with if he could think beyond naptime and Captain's Choice. Rupert's primary job is picking up after Malcolm, whose glorious orange (or ginger) hair is all over the place. Rupert needs a lot of grooming after roaming the floor. I think Malcolm is jealous.
As a recent visitor to Malcolm’s lair (your home), I couldn’t help but notice that Rupert tended to run head first into furniture. He was a hard worker, but you get what you pay for. 🙂
True, Malcolm and Rupert might not be smart, but they sure are cute! Cathy

I want one. Does Rupert work on carpets?

Malcolm is fearless. Is he holding Rupert at bay with his nose?!

Do follow up to let us know if Rupert works. I’m dying to know! At my vet’s suggestion, I recently bought one of those small water fountains that are supposed to be for relaxation, but apparently cats like to drink out of them. The cats have so far not been too impressed, but they might like a Rupert.
He does work! He’s been working for us about a month, so I don’t know how long he’ll last until we have to put him out to pasture. He no longer makes the different beeping sounds to indicate his status so that function is broken, but it was annoying anyway. He does a great job on carpets, but chokes on rug fringe some times. He has to be groomed (emptied and the brush cleaned) and re-charged after each 45-minute cleaning session. Cathy

Malcolm is adorable.
Maybe we should switch to Rupert from the Big Red Satan that we have now.
The cats hate it and will disappear for hours the moment I turn it on. They of course hate us right now since we’ve been gone and only left them with an Auntie in charge, who by the way spoiled them rotten. We have been snubbed since we got home.
