2014 in review

Thank you all for stopping by.  Happy New Year!  Hope to see you in 2015! The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 32,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 12 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

  6. Catherine, the example of our Aussie Opera House in your stats tickled my fancy enormously – I shall be one of those 2,700 seated in the concert hall next week enjoying The Godfather film whilst the Sydney Symphony Orchestra play the sound track. What a treat it will be.!
Here’s hoping 2015 will prove a delight for you.

  7. Indeed it is! The acoustics in the concert hall are said to be amongst the best in the world. My last visit was to see Tony Bennett a couple of years back. To prove the great acoustics he sang a number without the aid of the microphone. We were all quite stunned and very impressed.
    Have an enjoyable weekend…

    • Wow, that would have been some concert. I saw Tony Bennett in a less impressive location, a casino concert hall. He was great, but he needed a microphone.

      • One of my all time favourites. I remember, as a young girl, loving his voice; haven’t changed! He’s still incredible – with or without a microphone… I’ll leave a little message re the upcoming event. We’ll be staying overnight. As I mentioned; it will be such a treat, I’m sure.

  8. And yes, Catherine; an event to remember indeed. Not just the concert, but the entirety was perfect – to the weather, the accommodation; to the foods we ate, to the company I enjoyed – it all ended far to soon.
