The Kansas City Royals are in the baseball World Series for the second year in a row! The city is celebrating once again with blue water fountains.
Kansas City is known as the City of Fountains. Kansas City has more fountains than any city in the world except Rome, Italy which has more than 2,000 fountains.List of Kansas City’s fountains.
The Royals play the New York Mets in the 2015 Baseball World Series.
Who are the Kansas City Royals and the New York Mets?
Catherine, this is pretty spectacular! I had no idea KC has that many fountains! I love Union Station and the J.C. Nichols Fountain. 🙂 ~Terri

Thanks, Terri!
I’m going to try to capture as many fountains with blue water as I can before baseball and fountain season is over. One fountain, the Meyer Circle Mermaid Fountain, has already been shut down this season. Luckily, I had a photo from last year!

Catherine, We’re living in Lexington, KY now, home to our alma mater UK – also known as BBN (Big Blue Nation) and I’m surprised that the city isn’t doing something like this. I’ll just have to enjoy yours. 🙂 ~T

I’m sorry they beat my Blue Jays but the fountains are very cool.

I’m afraid I was cheering for the other blue last week… the Blue Jays. I’m sure you’re very happy to be able to continue having blue fountains… hopefully all the way to the end. 😉

Thanks for being so understanding, Arti! I was just out tonight photographing more blue fountains and lights. The people here have gone bonkers for blue! At the art museum, the guards are even wearing Royals t-shirts and some policemen in the area are wearing Royals ball caps.
