Two years ago I fell in love with a puppy named Loki. Among the many blessings I have in my life to be grateful for, I am thankful for this little dog. Loki is probably partly a pitbull. No one really knows. A man was kicking Loki on a street in Huntington Beach, California, when she was rescued. She has a pitbull face, but the short splayed legs of a dachshund. She’s the sweetest dog in the world! She loves loves loves everyone.
Loki may be moving to New Hampshire soon with my daughter and her husband, which makes me sad. I’ll sorely miss the three of them, but I’m happy to have been re-awakened to the wonderful world of dogs.
Do you have a dog or cat or other beloved animal companion in your life? I have two white cats, who are loving company and keep me well-covered with white hair.

I have two cats who I dearly love, and my newest companion is a dog that I also love. Yes, I said dog. I’m talking about the dog that my coworker brings to the office. We’ve become friends and I even give her lovies and let her lick my nose. I even make sure that mommy doesn’t buy her dog treats from China. Loki is lovely. I’m sure you can still stay close to her by video clips like the adorable one you’ve posted here. As for me the honest truth is, I’m Ailurophobic. But dogs are fine, and I believe that they can be man’s best friends. We’ve no dogs in our home because as he grew up, my son has severe allergies to furry animals. So much for pets! Our rescue dog, Reese, died last Thanksgiving so this video is timely and warmed my heart. When Reese first came to us, I took her to the vet for a check-up. I was most concerned that she had a lot of pit bull in her. I asked the vet about this, he cocked his head and said, “But is she a good dog?” The answer was yes. She turned out to be our best dog ever.
So last January we adopted an 8-month-old red-nosed pit from the Pasadena Humane Society. Our son still at home was determined to get a pit, as they are the most likely to be euthanized. We found the blog Stubby Dog and learned that pit bulls were long called “Nanny Dogs.” The first decorated combat dog was a pit.
Our sweet girl Layla did have a blue-ribbon on her cage for best behavior. Though I see no military decorations in her future, Layla has been a wonderful addition to our household. Her goofball behavior keeps us in stitches.
Loki is such a cutie. I had great fun playing with her. It’s been great fun watching you come round to dogs. 🙂

Loki is darling. I have two dogs and then my three boys decided to volunteer at the no-kill shelter this summer. Now I also have three cats.
